Memory Lane Tagaytay

Memory Lane is like a candy house. It's color is so sweet like candy. It's owner is a well known showbiz personality Jolina Magdangal. They have a spacious parking at the back of the house so its okey to bring car.

There is also an area for rent for gatherings located at the back of the house. It's being managed by the father of Jolina.

Inside the house is a coffee shop, spa and salon and a trinket store. I find their rates a bit high actually.

Memory Lane is located along Magallanes Drive (Street fronting Max's Restaurant along Aguinaldo Highway.

Bag of Beans Experience

Every time I passed by this place, I am wondering what is so special about Bag of Beans, that their big parking area is always full. I am a Figaro and Starbucks coffee fanatic so I never tried to drop by this place. During the recent visit to Tagaytay, I promised myself that I will have my coffee and dessert at Bag of Beans.

To my amazement, this is the inside area of Bag of Beans main branch located near Mendez along Aguinaldo Highway: Entrance coming from the highway. There is another side entrance near the big parking lot.

Once inside, there's the main dining restaurant offering buffet lunch from 11:00AM-2:00PM and dinner from 6:00PM-9:00PM.

They have a bar area, small gazeebo with curtains and throw pillows where you can relax while having coffee and desserts.

They have souvenir shop and bakery. I was able to try their freshly made raisin roll and after 5 days as of today, it is still soft and delicious.

We also tried their Blueberry cheesecake and Panacotta. Super delicious. WOW.

We also ordered Cafe MOcha. The taste is so good that you keep on sipping.

We also ordered iced latte and cookies and cream frappucino and it taste like an ice cream.
I can personally say, move out Starbucks, Hello Bag of Beans!

Mushroom Burger Tagaytay

Going on a Tagaytay trip is never complete without dropping by Mushroom Burger along Aguinaldo Highway. I always enjoy the ambiance of an old restaurant serving hot and freshly cooked burger patty made of mushroom. During my last visit, we tried their sweet mushroom dessert and it was delicious. (Sorry no pictures)

Chelsea Market

I had the chance to dine in this very cozy and private dining during my 11th wedding anniversary. I can't think of any fancy outing because we were so busy and don't have time for an out of the town event. So I asked my husband that we try this place.

The resto was very elegantly designed. The tables are very intimate, the decors are modern and chic. We were seated by a very courteous staff after waiting for a few minutes (the place was full during our visit with few tables available outside but we prefer dining inside). We saw that almost all of their patrons are expats and couples. The place is an internet zone area and there was also a complimentary home made fresh breads with olive oil dip.

We ordered their Lamb chop set meal, grilled salmon set meal and pizza and fettuccine carbonara. I find their food freshly prepared and delicious. My hubby just have a bit of complain about the lamb being too fatty. He find the lambchops of Circles in Shangrila and Dads better.

They have locations in Serendra in Taguig and Podium in ADB Ave. Ortigas Center.

Banana Taipei Bag

I saw an ad of this bag on my Facebook account a few years ago but didn't give much attention to. Last year, I became curious and opened the ad and I was so engrossed reading blogs from all over Europe about their experiences with the bag.

I became obsessed about it more than any other brands. Maybe because it is just a simple canvass bag  with a picture of the much coveted birkin bag printed in 3D. I called it MY HAPPY BAG.

I got my first Banana Taipei in Tiffany Blue and Champagne Grey colors. They were gifts from my very generous brother during my recent birthday. He told me that he almost returned the bag because he was very disappointed. Imagine paying almost US260 for a canvass bag...but his love to me prevailed. Hehehe.

When I received the bags, I immediately use it the next day. I used the Champagne grey with my corporate uniform and it was fun. Ladies out there kept on starring at it...maybe checking if it is really a birkin or just a simple bag. At one point, during a meeting, my client stopped and asked me about it. She likes it very much. Hahaha... you can't find fake one's yet in the Philippines. Maybe not now. But a friend who frequently go to Malaysia and Bangkok saw this bag at a stall but when she scrutinized it, she knew it was fake because it sells lower than the price at their shop in Taipei and the usual staffs that included when you purchase is not available.

I just have a few concerns about it. The 3D print is very sensitive that I have to take care not to feel and got dirty, otherwise it will lost the sense of being a BIRKIN at a lower cost.

AS for the moment, I am enjoying very much my banane taipei bag.
